Discipline helps us chart our course of actions in a organized manner with which to reach our goals. Too often, we see people who have quite feasible and realistic goals but because of lack of discipline in themselves, they often fail to accomplish them!

Very true ! Dreaming about goals doesnt get you anywhere .When people talk about what they want to achieve without putting it into action you can be sure that they are not going to get any further. To achieve anything one has to strive so hard and inspite of it sometimes you may not get the anticipated results...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

As all of you have very rightly emphasized the importance of it in our life but our rulers since Independence have been trying their worst to banish it from our national life!
Let us first teach our leaders how to become well disciplined citizens. Then only we people will respect and follow them!!!!
It's due to their undisciplined behaviour, they never get appreciations from normal people

That's true! There are hardly any statesmen left like Sardar Patel, Lokmanya Tilak, Morarji Desai etc. who were so disciplined! But why be pessimistic when we have so many other disciplined role models like Ratan Tata, Narayana Murthy, ex-President Abdul Kalam etc. They embody everything that is needed in order to become a responsible citizen. We can always look up to them and learn from them!

Discipline, Determination and Dedication are the main pillars of success. I think success without discipline is not a worthy one.

Born to express, not to impress.

Of course Ushaji, we can expect only a very few from the politics as of today.
Discipline is necessary in our life.If we are well disciplined we can achieve what we want and others will like us.In school also we are taught to maintain discipline. In our home our parents teach us discipline.[/quote

Undisciplined life is a rudderless boat. It takes you anywhere except your destination.

But in a vast country like India, the number of torch bearers and pathfinders are far far less. In the same breath i would ask why we are far behind those small countries like Ethiopia in winning gold medals in Olympics?
