Just you need a mixer to grind the flour

rice put in water or not? Tell me first
It takes 6-8 hours to soak rice if you want smooth appam.
also, do you have boiled rice at home to grind it along with rice in the evening?

Meera sandhu
Yes I have done that already.. one hour (may be more) ago.

What do you mean by having boiled rice at home?!

while grinding at night, add a handful of boiled rice to it to get soft appam.
if you have used 1 cup rice for the preparation, put only a few yeast balls....around 10. add a little coconut water also while grinding.
never forget to add coconut. it adds taste to the dish

ask your mother not to forget to cover the appam with a closed lid during preparation. otherwise it will dry.
make in your chapathi non stick pan.

Sandy,

Your narration/explaination on preparation of Appam is too good. It shows that you are very good at cooking (kingdom (kitchen)). Your kid and hubby are too blessed. I think you have 1 kid.
