It is a vicious circle - parents want quick fix solutions when their children are doing badly , failing to realise that the main fault lies with them and the teachers conveniently put the onus on parents not realising that they too have a responsibility to see that the child is faring well in their class or else take proper measures to get to the root of the problem !

Anyway you look at it, Parents are the prime offenders. After all the child has not descended directly in to a class room. The parents are the first teachers. This fact is conveniently forgotten by the parents who are ignorant of their responsibilities and driven away by the foolish thought that their children will be well off, if a few bucks are thrown at the teachers and the schools.

Yes parents should also take equal responsibility for their child's education. The parents are busy with their work so they send their children to a tuition class and think they have fulfilled their responsibility.

Tuition may help. But parents see though not regularly, occasionally the progress of the child.

Coaching classes are just another institution build to extract money from the parents. If a child needs to go to a coaching class to understand a subject then what are their teachers doing in school.

Yes the parents should not encourage these coaching classes. Between a tuition and school a child do not get any free time to play and enjoy. A child should not be under such pressure.

True. But the parents are helpless. They are busy in their livelihood activities or illiterate. Such situations are well cahed in by these educational institutions.

It is an insult to the school teacher if a child do not understand his lessons and have to go to tutions. A Teacher should take his responsibilities seriously.

It's a business. Money is involved. In the view of the teachers money is more important than responsibilities.

Actually teaching as a profession is underpaid and many states the state schools are run through temporary staff who are never made permanent all through their life therby losing out on all benefits like pension, gratuity etc...With all that it is really difficult to expect dedication since it is a different scenario today where money power is overwhelming . It is the same with private schools, unless teachers are given proper training and renumerations they will continue to be average performers, like they say if you throw peanuts you can get only monkeys ...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
