Talking about teaching profession, I find most teachers averse to any kind of contradictory views that may actually be right, especially when it comes from other teachers or worse still students .Their thinking is that their knowledge is superior to that of their students, but sometin=mes your students surprise you by their general knowledge ! Most of us tend to think that what we know and what we believe is the only right thing ,failing to realise that in a world made up of so many millions of people there could be as many view points regarding one issue...

Yes some teachers feel that way. If you ask them anything that is outside the course, they will scold you for wasting their time because such question have no marks in the exam. Teachers should be more understanding.

Part of the blame lies with the education department since they have a syllabus which is quite outdated and one is supposed to stick to it and not stray ! teachers are not given any kind of freedom to put in some relevant points of their own, that being the case most teachers are happy to go with the flow instead of teaching anything new !

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Education, has become a huge lucrative industry here in India. It's not uncommon to see the Ads placed in Media by the schools of today like
" Bring two children and get free education for your child."
" First of its kind, where the entire premises of our school is Air conditioned."
Is there any scope for children for learning in the present scenario?

Schools are giving all kind superficial facilities instead of providing real education. The authorities want to attract more parents to admit their children in their schools. If a school gains a little reputation they also start demanding "donations" from the parents.

Most pitiable aspect is Parents are acting as the promoters of these schools for the incentives and sops to the parents who bring more students and enroll them in these educational institutions.

Most parents want their children in a school with a big name and reputation because it's a status symbol. They want to boast in front of their relatives and friends about the school.

Seeing the present education system i feel it's not the children but the parents need education..
It is a vicious circle - parents want quick fix solutions when their children are doing badly , failing to realise that the main fault lies with them and the teachers conveniently put the onus on parents not realising that they too have a responsibility to see that the child is faring well in their class or else take proper measures to get to the root of the problem !

Anyway you look at it, Parents are the prime offenders. After all the child has not descended directly in to a class room. The parents are the first teachers. This fact is conveniently forgotten by the parents who are ignorant of their responsibilities and driven away by the foolish thought that their children will be well off, if a few bucks are thrown at the teachers and the schools.

Yes parents should also take equal responsibility for their child's education. The parents are busy with their work so they send their children to a tuition class and think they have fulfilled their responsibility.
