    Abid, I agree with you. Not all letters require raising the pen from paper, but it was easy to explain that way. :) :) :)

    Okay, a clue to the correct answer!

    The word is a homonym - Has the same spelling, same pronunciation but defiierent meanings in each case!

    In Thermometer degree is measuring unit
    In College degree is meaning for course
    In Location degree is again used to indicate latitude and logitute directions..
