The Elephant Festival Kerala or the Kerala Elephant Festival is celebrated every year in the month of Medam (Mid April - Mid May) as per the malayalam calendar at Thrissur in the Indian costal State of Kerala.

To make everyone understand well about the Elephant Festial Kerala (God's own country), I herewith attach few photographs.

Elephants are part of life of Kerala, Assam and some regions of Karnataka. Some people even worship elephants and treat them auspiciously. We have a few elephants in out parts of the country but most of them used by Babas.

Have you heard a famous saying that says " Zinda haathi lakh ka to mara haathi sawa laakh ka" That means a dead one is costlier than a live elephant, why don't you find a dead one to take full advantage. Don't you remember Verappan who lived in forests selling Sandal and elephant bones.

Sunil, when this proverb was developed, value of money was very high. Due to inflation, that 1 lakh has now become 60-70 lakhs.
That day, kalyani has agreed to start a circus company and we people shall assist her. What do you say?
