There may be places where even Sun rays fail to penetrate. But Hypocrisy is such a thing, it can enter and penetrate any place. If somebody says that he is not a hypocrite, he is the biggest hypocrite of all.

It is not the verdict of Delhi High Court to allow odd and even cars to be run on odd and even dates. If it is it should be brought to the Court's notice that it is difficult to implement. Other ways of reducing pollution should be investigated. It seems within 48 hours of assuming power the Kejriwal government permitted self audit or declaration by polluting industries in and around Delhi in order to promote ease of business image. Crazy, will a polluting industry accept they are polluting?

It is the Delhi High court's verdict. Seeing the extent of Air Pollution in Delhi, the High court of Delhi made this rule mandatory. But it should be effectively implemented. Pollution in the air is in  the most alarming levels which lead to many life threatening ailments.

As usual when action should have been taken we do not take it. When the situation becomes beyond control then in panic we take impractical decisions. Odd and even days is very difficult to implement. With so many exemptions ultimately it will be the few who will bear the brunt. Many persons will buy a nano and grease RTO officials to give them an additional odd or even number so that they can drive everyday. sales of Nano car may go up.

Democracy ensures dignity and promotes freedom to the citizens. Besides spreading awareness about the importance of exercising franchise in a Democratic set up, some alternative ways like e-Voting can be tried.

As awareness and importance of the vale of one's vote increase we are observing increased voting percentages. Rural voters seem to be voting more than urban voters. The e-voting facility should be made more widespread and may become popular and also help reduce load on voting booths. It may also induce the pampered and lazy city voter to vote.-

Making voting compulsory is not democratic since one cannot force things..However, more awareness is needed and encouragement like being able to cast their votes online etc should be looked into. Giving a holiday is not the best option since many office goers go on holiday raher than wait to cast their vote..

They should check vehicle emissions of heavy vehicles first rather than target domestic usage ...The pollution caused by a truck is ten times that of a car , so they need to take action there !

Mot people want to be politically correct all the time in all their dealings and this can lead to many tricky situations ...They need to double speak, be hypocritical in their dealings just so that they seem right ! I have a neighbor, who does not want to even admit to things like whether the maid has come since we share the same maid, she feels there may be consequences arising out of it...It is very difficult to deal with such people !

The situation arise due to the growth of building around the water bodies like rivers, lakes, ponds. Yesterday I was watching a T.V. report which was saying that many multi-storied buildings were build near river bank, and the number of ponds in the state has been reduced as some buildings were made on the place on ponds and lakes.

Both DMK and AIADMK have been in power for almost equal number of years and both have made a mess of the city during their respective rules.Jayalalitha may be a little better than Karunanidhi in some respects but it is impossible to undo what was done before so nature has taken its course ..Now they will have to take steps or else more such calamities are in store for them..

Politics has never been this bad at any stage and the real and only reason is Congress losing power, so trying to sling mud and make the Modi government look as black as possible. It might have worked to some extent but most of the time it doesnt because people are able to see through their tactics. The only way one can strengthen the hands of the government is to give them an absolute majority so that they can go ahead with their development agenda without the opposition constantly blackmailing the government ..
