chinmoymukherjee - Mr. Chidambaram has no graft charges against him. Engagement of his wife as counsel may be some irregularity but this is not serious enough. Unless somebody is proved guilty, we have to assume he is innocent. The case of Late Satyendra Dubey murder is also a very rare exception. Most of the people are neither very honest nor dishonest. they are just victim of circumstances. Corruption is a sort of group activity. It is not generally feasible for a single person to challenge the system. Once I was told that anybody may refuse to accept bribe but nobody can refuse to give. I still hold that there are many lethargic and inactive persons who are good for nothing. They claim to be honest. However, there may be exceptionally honest and active persons also who are very tiny minority. Let us hope their number increases.

In the absence of any verifiable statistical data,I am not in a postion to confirm the fact that they are in a majority or minority. But it can be safely concluded that quality and quantity have an adversarial relationship. At any point of time number of such people would be less. As to Mr. Chidambaram's engagement of his wife,my view is that an aberration is an aberration.May be it's not that serious but from the moral point view,it won't work in his favour. Thanks for sharing your valuable inputs and joining you in our mutual hope that the number of such people would increase!
Thankyou very chinmoy mukherjee for your reply. I was really disturbed when most of my friends were giving lame excuses... When the topic is about honest politicians...are we all honest enough was my first question to myself

Lohit- You are right. Leaders should work for all irrespective of caste. This is an issue of nationalism. There are communal, castist and regional tendencies. These need to be defeated.

Politicians are mostly corrupted. Our system of offering bribe had made them coruuptive. So first we have to change.
Every body have seen Nayak movie Of Actor Anil Kapoor. We need CM Which works like same as Anil Kapoor works In that movie as per CM work.
according to me, the honest politician is mr.kamaraj who is known as kingmaker of india.
the best politician who regrets the post of prime minister and made indira gandhi as a prime minister first time
he is the first man who started the planning of giving free food in school
and the most important and inspire thing is he has only 3 set of clothes and 136 rupees only as his property when he died.. remember he is chief minister of tamilnadu for nearly ten years..

anybode like him till now?
really he is a black gandhi as everyone suggests

Mr. Vivekm. I didn't know about Mr. Kamaraj. But from you i got this knowledge today. Thanks.
Thank you Vivek for providing information about Mr. Kamraj.
I didn't know about him at all. I am living in Tamilnadu from last 5 years. But I never heard about him from anybody. That is the irony of our society, honest and humble personalities are not recognized much.
