Jui flowers, Jasmine are used mostly in our occasion and only ladies love it.


How many of you know about december flower?


They are called jaaji in my place and are grown in many homes.i too have a huge bush which flowers profusely after rains right until the next rainy season.Normally both mangalore mallige (jasmine) and Jaaji are tied into garlands and rolled in this manner and sold in markets..

It is called as Jaathi Malli (Jasmine) in Tamil. I think names are similar.


It looks very similar to pichi. Right? Except light shades of violet. I think it's available here also, with the same name pichi.


Yes I am sure it is the same flower since it will have a different name in different languages..it comes in two varieties , one slightly more pink than white and the other more pinkish purple mixed with white and slightly rounded petals..

You are very correct Sarala. It is available in Various colours as you said. But it is a seasonal flower. It will be available in the months Novermber, December and January. But I don't think i have seen last year.

I think it's called Neela kanakambaram. Right? :unsure:
We used to make garlands tying its lengthy stalk .......no need of threads.....in my childhood.
