Together they are 79%, but there is no talk of controlling industrial pollution and all efforts are on vehicle owners only. Seems strange. There certainly is talk about Industry too. They are removing Badarpur thermal plant to start with and considering to remove Dadri plant next. These two are few of the main source of power generation in Delhi and West UP. We are already short of power and if these two removed Kejriwal will succeed in two ways- There will be no power charges since there will be no power and there will be no polution as well. THe third factor and an important one, the population will reduce as no one would want to live in a area where there is no power or one cannot drive his car. Good going Kejriwal, find some more ways to make life easy for NCR.

The voters become helpless in such a situation and it is usually difficult to protest because of politically motivated muscle power in and around the booth.  We are lucky, we have not problem of muscle power. I'm not that lucky. In all the elections until now, I had to run from pillar to post to find my name in the voters list. Though I did not protest, lodged complaint to the EC through the Polling official. Yes, it's high time the EC should take care of the lapses. Otherwise, the voter will lose interest in the elections.

RSS workers' voluntary participation in rendering selfless services is well known. These RSS workers believe Service to the humanity is Service to the Nation. On the contrary Congress believes in Service to themselves.

It is easy to control vehicular pollution that industrial pollution. Problem is air pollution so it is not matter from where to start. it may be vehicles or industries. What about Noise pollution? The ear piercing high decibels will be there all  along the day, especially horning of high sounding horns.

Eminent Australian Scientist, Professor Frank Fenner rightly said, humans will be extinct probably within 100 years due to rampant environmental abuse. Whatever is taken from the Nature should be given back to Nature. Otherwise, the Nature will hit back with vengeance in the form of Tsunamis and cyclones. The recent Chennai deluge is an example.

It will ensure their longevity as a ruling party for a large number of years. BJP is extending its hands for a handshake to the opposition parties to get its Bills passed. It is not a climb down as you are concluding but a democratic way of operating. Same way it has made a U turn on talks with Pakistan. Do you think it is easy task of unearthing money earned by congress leader with unfair means. Leader are not innocent one, they are much and much sly and crafty. Our law also support these. Remember bribe scandle at time of Narsimha Rao government. Narsimha Rao gave bribe Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader to won the vote of confidence. But because of our law they survive safely.     The scam party is in more trouble now with Madame and her son probably implicated in the National Herald case, one more feather in their already feather filled  cap Mother and her  incapable son are mere misfits. Mother shamelessly says that She is the Daughter in law of Indira Gandhi and none can scare her. Quoting IG , the arcitect of Emergency itself holds mirror to this scam Party's political immaturity.

Shivaji Maharaj's heroic deeds in the warfare employing unusual ways to conquer and defeat enemies are well known .I remember when my History teacher was narrating the story of Tanaji Malusare, a close childhood friend and an able military leader  of Shivaji Maharaj. Tanaji is famously known for the Battle of Sinhagadh When Tanaji died while capturing the fort of Kondana, near Pune, Shivaji said with grief " Gadh ala pan Sinh gela", Fort was captured but the lion was lost. Shivaji is well known for his fierce determination to stop the fanaticism of Aurangazeb . A strategist of the highest order, Shivaji was well supported by Chatrasal in fighting against the mighty Mughals.

Double standards of politicians are well known. Be it demolition of Jain temple or the illegal occupation of private property by minority groups will not come into light. This is nothing short of dual talk of politicians to woo the minorities for Votes.

I have nothing to say as I can see that such incidents are increasing at an alarming rate and a particular community is winner every time.

Of course the Mughals were outsiders.. They were like the British who needed to be thrown out, which did not happen because Indian rulers had no unity. We have to thank the British for uniting India , for whatever selfish read\son they might have had , which had become further fragmented after the Mughals came and vandalised the nation.

A Jain Temple which had historical significance was demolished by the district authorities in Bagalkot in Karnataka. No media highlighted this nor did it become an issue that was discussed by anyone.  Now take another case in a area called KR Puram in Bangalore , where a site belonging to a private individual who was on a transferable state government job ,living in another city, was illegally occupied by a minority group and initially used as a dwelling, later developed into a full fledged mosque. On hearing this the person rushed to the spot and lodged a police complain with the help of the neighbors who were totally opposed to the structure since it was a nuisance . But the politicians not only legalised it , asked the site owner to accept whatever the Muslims were ready to give which was 15% of the value. He had no other go since he is a state government employee . he lost the site and the money he had paid for it taking a loan...So this is the kind of secularism we see in India!   http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/karnataka/demolition-of-jain-temples-second-round-of-talks-fail/article7950964.ece

Gulshan Kumar Ajmani wrote: Compulsory voting is undemocratic. Many may not like to vote for any available candidate. That is why NOTA has been introduced. People should be encouraged to vote but this should be by persuasion rather than compulsion. If I am compelled to vote against my will, most probably, I shall vote NOTA, which serves no purpose. If peoples not like to vote because they don't like candidates than they have NOTA option. After it I think no reason for non casting votes.

usha manohar wrote: Making voting compulsory is not democratic since one cannot force things..However, more awareness is needed and encouragement like being able to cast their votes online etc should be looked into. Giving a holiday is not the best option since many office goers go on holiday raher than wait to cast their vote.. if people don't vote than how democracy survived. Our constitution give us some right but also define some duties. Voting is also our duty.

vijay wrote: @Anil, then making charges that previous ruling parties are sitting on lakhs of crores of rupees has no meaning. It seems that in India it is the first time there is an opposition party opposing the government. Do you not find it surprising that 45 members are making 282 plus sweat and the supporters are almost pleading that opposition should not oppose but support. yes talking about underground lakha and crores of rupess is worthless, meaning less and wastage of time. It is better to think about future. Once Dr. Abdul Kalam said do  politics for development of the country, not for the politics. At present congress and other parties are doing politics for politics. They are not opposing government for the betterment of the country, it is their frustration.

A constructive opposition is an asset to a democracy unlike what we have today ! What we see today is a jumble of parties since no one has enough numbers to sit in the opposition, making noise and making sure that no work gets done , based on the flimsiest of reasons ! Today the issue was National herald court summons... The woman went into dramatics about how is she is Bahu of Indira Gandhi first and then Bahu of India, which was comical in the leas ! Why bring a court issue to the floor of the parliament and disrupt the hearing ? It is almost as if she and he family are beyond everything, totally untouchable !
