Yes the ceremony is celebration of anger at each other. The spectators feel that they are giving it to the enemy thru the BSF jawans. It makes them feel good. However it is a spectacle to watch even though it is negative in nature. Allows venting of pent up feelings  at the border across the border. @ Rambabu has got it wrong when he says they behave as friends and not foes.

The way they drill is nothing short of a scene from martial arts movie, which is just short of kicking each other in the face. I am unable to understand why can't they behave normally and bring a sense of friendliness in place of all the hatred they show for each other. Maybe they want to keep the tradition of difference on and on.   It is true that I did not see Wagah Border exercise. Whatever i expressed is from the information gathered from my Punjabi sailor Friends who work in Eastern Naval Command , Vizag.

In our double speaking society it is considered impolite to call a spade a spade ,  ..Similarly when someone requests you to do something ,instead of saying a simple No if it is not possible people say I will try , which is so totally misleading and additionally you will never take the persons words seriously ever !

Deep breathing can be of help to some extent. The ill effects of anger are many. Child beating is one of them. A recent news  item which accounted a case of child beating by a school teacher. The poor student succumbed to the injuries . His spinal card was broken.

Ramayana is also popular in Thailand and parts of Indonesia like Bali although local population is no longer Hindu.

The whole affair is an expression of Joy  excitement and cheerfulness. In this process there may be excessive show for the benefit of TV cameras. It can be ignored.

Anger can kill you within and hurt your loved ones too. You can control your anger with deep breathing exercise. This is a way to live a healthy and peaceful life. According to many psychological reports anger is one of the main reasons for carrying out a crime especially domestic violence which stems solely out of anger. Controlling anger and destressing should start from early ages so that it gets inculcated in us .Deep breathing is no doubt very beneficial to us in more ways than one ! But for anger management it is not enough !

The suicides by farmers in Karnataka have been forgotten in bashing the Congress govt and Madam.  Suicides are unfortunately done by farmers in BJP ruled state also. It is unfortunate that even suicides are being seen thru political colors. It is a problem which needs a solution which is proving to be elusive so far irrespective of which party is in power.

There are some other features given below:  I have seen it on the TV but someday I hope to visit and see it for myself because t is so unique...The article is very comprehensive , even giving links on how to get there and where to stay ! I too wish to see the ceremony one day, my brother saw it last month when he was visiting Chandigarh and Amritsar on some work. He tells me the actual ceremony is quite dignified and lovely to watch but what spoils the atmosphere before that is that loud Bollywood music is played on both sides and there is a silly competition of one upmanship between tourists of both sides dancing vigorously to the songs each side trying to make them appear better than the other. This takes away the gravity and dignity of the place. LOL, I can understand that...Both sides we share the same culture , thats precisely why we are unable to solve the border issues in a civilised manner! Some of my friends who visted there were of the opinion that it looks like a staged set with people clapping and playing music and what not !

Well said. Instead of discussing about Ramayana's veracity, it is good to pick the Good and discard the Bad..

A story that has come down from time immemorial must have some base in reality. Over the ages it got transformed into many versions and many side plots got integrated in it. However today it is immaterial whether it is history or mythology as both have got merged. One must take the good from it and not bother whether it is real or not for there is no way after lapse of thousands of years to check its veracity.

Original Ramayan is there and in all forms of regional writers who wrote Ramayan there are different versions, these are modified in accordance with tastes of local populations. In Odia Ramayan, place of lanka is described as parts of Malkanangiri of Odisha and Telangana, so most of regional Ramayan deals with location and likings of people who read that.

I agree with you. Reading habit in general and news paper reading in particular can help in finding new concepts and themes.

The animated parade perhaps at Wagah border a real treat to see through television though I have not been there before. Perhaps it is the safest Indo Pak border to visit.

Ramayana has different version which vary to a large extent with each other. And in the version of Ramayana  written by Kambar, Ravan is worshiped not Rama. Seeing all these variations one certainly will doubt the veracity of Ramayan.

Just watch news, read news papers, have spare time and look at nature and think about it and am sure you should be getting more information about content writing. Just watch any object of nature closely or watch clear sky and try to see what stars are doing to think about all such incidents to get back some real ideas for content writing.

Any kind of diversion will be beneficial to douse the anger of fire. Whatever method you apply it's of utmost importance to annul the ferocity of. anger.
