    In my childhood I used to get doze from mother frequently, mainly for not eating. Why am I hiding it from you people? :woohoo:

    I don't think anyone is perfect in this world! And the very construction of the sentence makes its meaning so abundantly clear that absence of the preposition 'by' didn't give it any other meaning than what I intended. I don't know what others made out of it!!!

    There could no confusion even by omitting 'by'. The sentence was in passive voice.

    Beating by parents is not bad.It helps to control the child and after time you can realize that it was blessing of them.

    yes you are right sometimes children become indiscipline that even cant be controlled by love and patience so sometimes a slap can work.but not in all cases.

    Capital punishment always have its adverse effects on a tender mind. Only make them feel that they may attract it if not behaving properly, may have its better effects.
