I come across a lot of youngsters in my college and school and at other social groups and majority of them are very independent in their thinking and if you strike the right balance, they too respond positively ! I am agree with you, no doubt present generation is much smart that our generation. But I am not agree with you that old timers just spit out book knowledge. In old time travelling was not so easy like present time. At that time books are major source of information.   True ! Youngsters certainly have an added advantage these days so all the more reason not to underestimate them and their talents , they may not fit the perception of older generations but that is how it is .. No I am not under estimating new generation, it is much smart and intelligent than our generation, but accept we are also smart and intelligent in our time. books are still useful source of information.   Of course each generation had its share of intelligent and adventurous people who explored the world and book knowledge is all important even now since it gives an insight as to what is in store when you plan to visit other places and other relevant information. But with information technology becoming so widespread and available at the click of a finger , things have opened up far more opportunities for the youngsters and others as well .. no doubt with development of information technology it is easy to get information, but in ref. of India where large number of population is not well educated to use information technology, other source of information is still relevant.

Even today they wont let go but hold on to their past mistakes and stubbornly insist on causing more damage ! Policy of Appeasement of minorities is not new it, it is continue since freedom.

Population control is the need of the hour. In this respect, I must admit, Sanjay Gandhi is right. But his approach was wrong. Good point brought out. I wonder why people cannot  implement Sanjay's policy in a more humane way. Controlling population is need of hour.  Malthus theory also said to nature is capable in controlling population.

Infatuation is right but there should not be ill will.

To me it is hilarious as well as ridiculous. I am sure those who put up such a suggestion are not paying due respect to their parents on the regular basis and that's why such a fake suggestion. I have seen some suggestions made by a few religious Gurus, to celebrate Valentine's day as " Prem Divas. " Thank God it's at least Prem Diwas but not Matri-Pitri Pujan Diwas Ah! you are talking about Bapu ji, I also saw some banner in my city about celebration of Matra-Pitri Pujan Diwas. How Indian and blind have blind faith.

I feel no Indian student worth  his salt would raise anti India slogans. Yes there can be some students from J&K who can be expected to do so and they did it. It is failure of JNU administration and intelligence that it could not be prevented. Why the slogan shouting persons were allowed to escape by ABVP and JNU students is a mystery which needs to be solved. This aspect is looking a bit odd in a campus full of active students.  There is no doubt that an anti India lobby is at work. But it also looks at complete failure of Indian intelligence agencies. They have a lot to answer. Indian intelligence not failed first time. Anti Indian lobby is supported by some Indian political parties.

We took help of such tools which were available in the market. Thats how it is most families, they help each other out with whatever is available at their disposable ..It has been the same within my family and scores of other families that I know of..   Absolutely @usha manohar My aunt was on bed for almost a year, my father for two months and my mother for six years. She had Alzheimer's Disease. More than me, my siblings took care of them as I was far away in my matrimonial home. I could take care for short period of time but my siblings and my sisters-in-law did a great job   Shana sez: So you'll understand more than the rest of us, what this actually involves. It's interesting that you mention Alzheimer's though, because that is an entirely special kind of care giving. Are your parents still around? i wonder if you've seen the film, Still Alice, which got an Oscar last year. It's about Alzheimer's if you are interested. I saw it on a really bad download on YouTube. I think you'll find it if you click it if you type in Still Alice Full Movie. Really, unless the whole family cooperates without grumbling and whining and losing their temper too often (except occasionally to vent, because that's okay I suppose, under the pressure of the circumstance), things can get miserable for all. Not just the ailing person. And with Alzheimer's they might be totally oblivious to what is going on. I think someone taped each day, as the person degenerated, so that they could refer to the tape to remember people's names etc, I don't know if this actually worked, but i guess that's one use of technology. Which reminds me, that its not just the family. I guess entire society has to be geared around dealing more sensitively to people with disabilities that you cannot see on the surface. And which might be misconstrued for being rudeness or bad behavior.  @Shana My parents and aunt are no more. Well, it was only my mother who suffered from Alzheimer. The saddest part was that she consciously never recognised her children but maybe she recognised us subconsciously. My father was not alive when she was on bed for six years. It is very painful for the family to see your loved one in pain but in our case the situation was different because of the disease. It does not make the patient suffer from severe pain and so on but we the children died everyday when our mother did not recognise us. My biological family was a big joint family till some years back and my mother was the eldest of all who nursed everyone from my grandparents to uncles, aunts, my father, nephews and nieces along with her own children whenever anyone fell ill, be it for a few days or for a long period, very lovingly but during her time we failed to understand that was she at all able to realise our love and concern for her or not.
