I know some people who went through a similar condition. The voters become helpless in such a situation and it is usually difficult to protest because of politically motivated muscle power in and around the booth.

Yes Kalyani, many people in India have been mentally dinned into believing that disowning their own people and religion and upholding minorities and making excuses for them even when they are in the wrong is called secularism, a pity that even the educated fall into this trap that the family party has prepared over the years ..

One can understand why Shivaji is not hailed because he also fought the Mughals and that is something the grand old Communal party of India will have an objection to..  True Usha..the very fact that no one has bothered to comment proves that no one wants to know and accept true history and true heroes. Were Tipu Sultan mentioned or some other similar, there would have been loads of discussion!

Kalyani Nandurkar said thank you to usha manohar for his/her reply to the topic Who is the real communalist?.
Kalyani Nandurkar wrote: The fact is that the RSS people are the ones who are at the forefront in rescuing and helping people in face of natural calamities and other disasters. They were there when earthquake struck Nepal seriously. They are present in very remote areas all over the country helping out tribals and schoolchildren, try their best to make lives easier. It was with the initiative of RSS that Muslim Rashtriya Manch was formed in order to bridge the gap between Hindus and Muslims. MRM is currently very much active in J&K and is helping to bring peace to the strife-torn valley. I can see no single instance where congress has played a concrete role in helping people or try to bring peace. It is the RSS that is helping people without asking for anyone's religions. And still there are those ever ready to keep proclaiming them as fascists while not lifting a single finger of their own to help any one ever. The problem is that until a few years ago it was just the Congress party that was leading the way, pretty much a one party show and what they said was law. They said RSS was communal and the press wrote it down dutifully...Killing Mahatma Gandhi was done by an individual belonging to RSS, if RSS was banned for that reason Congress party which went all out supporting the violence should have been banned after the massacre of Sikhs ! probably their lives don't mean much like that of Gandhi and The Family members ! Now they and their followers keep on and on about RSS agenda, what exactly is RSS agenda, do they know? They simply want to show BJP and RSS in a poor light , that is the only reason they come up with these vague imaginary ideas! The truth is that RSS is liked by common people as a group that is known for its community work and its patriotism ! Hardly matters what the press and a bunch of sycophants say ..

Shake hands with congress- for what? To exchange the lackhs of crores Rupees that congress members are sitting on for decades of their rule in this country. All the activities of corrupt leaders to stop BJP are nothing but a method of creating such a situation where the government has nothing else to do but constantly fight with problems. The corrupt ones are trying their best to waste all the time in the process and show the ruling party down.

Hi all! There are many of us who are deprived of sleep and always try to catch up with their sleep. Sleep deprived people could be found daydreaming on the toilet, in the bath, at the cinema and sometimes dreadfully behind the wheels. Some sleep deprived persons doze off at unlikely places e.g. in a coal mine, staircase, examination hall, while waiting in a bank for their turn or while matching a football/hockey match etc. Have you ever fallen asleep at an unusual place. If yes, what what was your reaction when you got up? I sometime fell asleep when getting my hair cut and/or getting oily head massage ...... Lol! Would like you to share your experience.

Introduction  For some time I have been dreaming to raise funds for a new swimming pool in our school. This programme can easily be regarded as a challenging assignment. And one may find some exciting things for accomplishing such a programme. Ideas for establishing a new swimming pool  A cultural programme was held on 15th august and it was determined that we would raise at least sixty thousand rupees for the construction of a new swimming pool. A committee consisting of ten senior students and five staff was formed for the purpose. The managing committee was also involved in the programme. As a school captain, I had to share all the work. Procedure   I had to enlist some active students for the entire work. I could also manage some experienced teachers. We began to take rehearsals for different types of programmes. A host of V.I.Ps were invited. Among them chief guest was the district magistrate. My experience  At last the grand evening came. The school was decorated gorgeously. We felt very delightful in the deep recess of our heart. We were very excited also. It was on Saraswati puja. At first we asked the district magistrate to come up on the stage to deliver his valuable speech. Next, some of other V.I.Ps also did the same. And thereafter the variety programme began. At first the tiny tots presented a welcome song. It was followed by a ballad. After that, some young girls presented different types of dances of provincial culture. A one-act-play was also staged by a group of boys. At last I came upon the stage and delivered my speech. Thus the programme ended. Conclusion It is still alive in my mind. It was a great success. We felt very happy. We wished that such a day might come again. It was, indeed, a wonderful experience of my life.

We are consuming too much !!!  As the world population increased, people also began consuming more. Apart from basic food, we started making more products for consumption and use -tools, machines, clothes, vehicles, appliances, computers and so on. We also added services like entertainment, tourism, and newspapers. A whole set of industries and companies came into being. More the people ,even more the consumption !!!  It was flat for a very long time, then started spiking, and is now almost vertical. That is obvious, you would say.More the people, more will be the consumption. However, the consumption curve is steeper than the population curve. That is, many of us consume more and more with time! Last year, you had only one telephone at home. This year, you have an additional mobile phone. Your family bought their first scooter some time ago. Now there are two and perhaps also a car! As a person makes more money,he begins buying things he never had before. The steeply increasing consumption means that we are rapidly using up the natural resources. Almost any resources you can think of trees, topsoil, fossil fuel, groundwater, minerals is being over exploited. Nature cannot regenerate them fast enough. We saw how we are over exploiting fossil fuels like oil. science and technology have played major roles in increasing consumption. The tremendous amounts of new products were made possible by the invention of new chemicals and synthetic materials like plastics, detergents, paints, and refrigerants. The story of bicycles and cars in China!!!  China was always known as the land of bicycles. The streets were always fulll of bicycles. Millions of bicycles were in use, to carrying people and goods. Millions of chinese take loans and wait for months to own cars. The government is happy because the automobile explosion creates many new jobs. Then these new workers buy more goods and the economy grows further. China already suffers from environmental problems. All the cars will only worsen the air pollution and create traffic jams on the congested roads. No falls information There is no to tell you that resume is first step for getting a job and your chances of getting a good job depend upon your resume to a large extent. But and this is an important but which cautions you to not to write false information about yourself. You shall have to make sure that you proceed with right facts about yourself without telling half truths. The language of your resume should be according to the standard demand and to the point which states clearly all about your educational, previous experiences, your contact details, email ID etc including the post you have applied for.     I was recently reading an online survey regarding falls information and certificates provided by candidates and what I read was surprising as the data provided was even higher than what I thought as a former HR manager was happening in our industry.  Most industries despite having very strict rules are still facing the problem of falls certificates and information by candidates. The candidates are providing different data at the time of changing over from one company to another without much hesitation. It is true that most companies try to search the records of the candidate before appointing him for a job but in case of appointing senior managers they become a little lenient and mostly go by the resume, profile and package of the candidates. While reading the survey what amused me more was that this problem is not limited to Indians but almost all the countries in the world are facing the same problem including America and England where candidates fill in falls information regarding their educational, experience and achievements more than what they really posses. I don’t understand why they do so as almost everyone knows that they are liable to be randomly checked and if caught all their reputation and future is spoiled forever.  The other side  Every company needs the best professionals in their industry especially the multinationals to face the tough competition in the job market coming from the global market. There is no doubt about the fact that there are far more candidates seeking jobs than the jobs really available for them. As per the data available 23 lakh students graduate every year in India but most of them do not find a job according to their qualification and skills.  But would you believe if you’re told that almost 60%posts in Indian companies are waiting for right candidates? The most opportunities vacant are in the field of sales and marketing, IT, accounting, finance and office support because there are no right candidates available for them. Most of these companies sort them out within three months because they had provided were either falls or the information provided supported with fake certificates at their time of appointment.   Falls information is no solution The problem begins when a candidate provides fall or exaggerated information in her/his resume which may later lead to many more problems including a blanket ban on the career of that candidate. Therefore it is very much expected from you to match your skills, check every point especially before providing your present and past experience and be absolutely truthful about your educational qualifications. Keep in mind there is no way you can hide them for a long time besides you are liable to be executed legally too.  Maybe you have no wrong intention by providing little exaggerated information about yourself but think about the company that will have to spend money and time to train you for the project which did not deserve in the first place. There is another point that may harm the company if they select a person with wrong information and that is related with their own security. Most companies wish to have right candidates in the right place to keep their crucial data secured. A wrong person with wrong information is more likely to leak the secrets of company for the sake of money or a better job in future. Online surveillance There are many apps which are helping candidates and companies in the process of appointment in near future. Candidates can easily send their data through these apps online provided both the parties are registered on that particular app. These apps will play an important role in the appointment process through social media ‘digital pool’ verifying all information through the registration ID of the candidate. For the time being companies are keeping an eye on their candidates through ‘applicant tracking system’ for verifying their CV. In the present time almost 90% jobs in Indian corporate sector need a specialization in a particular field and perhaps that is the reason candidates are adapting falls methods. Most students do not qualify for the jobs due to lack of training during their education therefore not finding a job of their choice. Some of the methods adapted by candidate- A- Candidates mention wrong educational qualifications that are easily traceable by background checking firms B- There are number of educational boards and universities which are not recognized by the government C- Providing a falls salary-slip or making changes in original salary-slips D- Candidates provide excessive experience than they really have. It is easily traceable so advised not to go for this E- There are certain departments that need unmarried candidates so some candidates hide their marital status at the time of applying for the job but that is also traceable F- Certain organizations ask about criminal records but candidates with such a record never provide this information correctly but companies randomly check this data also. Some other facts about falls information in job market     Three out of ten candidates submit a resume with falls information and these are the ones which were caught during screening done by the companies but the actual number could be higher than this. India stands at number four at falls resume providers in Asia. Malaysia is at top followed by Singapore and Philippines. It is surprising but true that there is a sudden jump of almost 40% among the falls information in resume in the third quarter this year compared to second. More than 20% of almost 25,000 resumes screened were found having wrong information.

Lifestyle The cases of tiredness in the youth, especially in 20-30 age groups have considerably increased lately. Most people feel these problems occur for physiological reasons or lazy lifestyle the youth has these days. Or are they pretending to be tired, whatever the reason but these problems can easily be removed with simple correction in lifestyle.  One of my junior colleagues, younger than me by years goes frequently out on tours in relations to professional requirements. Last time when he tried to put his heavy handbag in the compartment above the seat in the airplane he felt a heavy pain in his shoulder. It happened about four weeks before and now he is still having severe pain in his entire arm and the intensity of his pain is so much that he cannot keep his hand in normal position during night while sleeping. Now he has reached to such a stage when he feels pain in simply moving his hand or even doing small movements. It was commonly believed that problem of frozen shoulders occurs after the age of 40 or so but now there is no age for such problems especially for people who work sitting in front of computers for hours at a time or do not exercise regularly or not following a regular and healthy lifestyle. The people suffering from all such problems come from all age groups therefore they should not overlook their problem taking it lightly or considering it normal pain but should take a proper checkup. The delay can intensify the problem and complicate the treatment procedure.   Frozen Joints Does it remind you of someone in your circle having same symptoms? If yes, they might be suffering from the same, the Frozen Shoulder problem. When a person suffers with this particular problem he suffers from inflammation in joint capsule of shoulder which is almost similar to jam in joints. Women suffer more in comparison to male from the problem of frozen shoulder but anyone can become a victim of this problem especially during their forties, long sitting in front of computer or while handling heavy items carelessly.  There is no particular reason for suffering from this disease but one of the main reasons is that injuries or sudden impact enlarge the issues causing loss of elasticity in them which makes activities harder thus making the joints painful. There are no known reasons for such impacts on different people but in case of my young friend his muscles were injured which caused inflammation to the tissues near the shoulder joint which made it difficult for him to move his hand. He was feeling it difficult moving his hand even for small efforts like buttoning up his shirt or brushing his teeth or writing a few words.  In case of carelessness In case of my friend the problem was lesser serious in the beginning but he saw an expert immediately that helped him overcome the situation to some extent but in case a proper step is not taken immediately or a proper attention by experts it can become real serious. The situation can get worse and reach to a stage which is known as idiopathic adhesive causalities a problem found mostly in diabetic patients. The reason as your doctor will tell you is caused by increased blood sugar or insulin related abnormality. The reasons are not yet fully known but persons suffering from lungs diseases, thyroid, or heat problems or who have experienced a brain stroke in the past might face this problem of frozen shoulder more than others but it certainly differs based on case to case and person to person. Change of posture could be another reason during a particular disease especially neck, shoulder and back pain. The lack of fitness and general physical weakness can also cause injuries to body. The persons feel more pain in neck and back during night hours during their bedtime. The treatment The problems related to frozen shoulders can be treated easily with the help of physiotherapy, pain relievers, massage and surgery as suggested by your doctor but it takes long time. In some cases the treatment could go on for 9 months to 2 years depending upon seriousness of the problem. In some cases the patient feels relieved from pain but the shoulder does not recover fully from inflammation but it takes time to come back to its normal position. Exercises and treatment as prescribed on regular basis is the only method of getting back to normalcy but some people become careless once their pain reduces and that exaggerates the problem even more. A person suffering from frozen shoulder should exercise regularly and keep moving his shoulders as much as possible with gentle movements. Doctors may prescribe non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs to persons suffering from such diseases but taking them without prescription could prove fatal. Doctors may also inject such patients with corticosteroid shots but again trying them without a proper prescription is not advisable. Most physiotherapists advise a regular exercise of 20-30 minutes duration to persons suffering from frozen shoulders.        What should you do or avoid A person suffering from shoulder or joint problems should take proper rest and quality sleep of 7-8 hours. One should try to avoid stressful lifestyle which is part of the modern city life but certainly affects your health, fitness and level of concentration. Try to live a stress free scheduled life with time bound program especially the sleeping time. Try to avoid television, laptop and phone after a particular time. Take your meals early and in no case overlook your problems but see your doctor as early as possible as   people suffering from frozen shoulder find it hard to sleep due to painful condition so not consulting your doctor will worsen your health conditions.  Proper diet is must for everyone but more in case of people suffering from joint pains. If you eat lesser than you must you feel weakness and if you are one of those careless people who do not take a proper breakfast you should think again as it could cause you lack of carbohydrates, sugar level and most important of all avoid junk food but eat fruits, vegetables and low fat food and add food items containing iron and calcium in your diet.

All of us at some time or the other have to appear for an interview. It is almost an essential condition for being evaluated for a job opportunity. Bulk of graduates are required to appear for interviews in multiple companies before they get selected. Now a days in campus interviews are very common, and are eagerly awaited by young hopeful graduates. Yet hardly any student is made aware of how to face or take interviews. There are some coaching institutes which charge a hefty sum and train students in group discussions and how to face interviews. It is worth going through such an exposure as it instills   confidence in the raw graduates. However the coaching Institutes reputation should be checked , because otherwise learning the wrong techniques may become a lifelong habit. A standard interview in entry level jobs may last for ten to twenty minutes depending on the number of candidates and the response of the candidate. Many times the interview committee members may also stretch an interview for right or wrong reasons. Thus these few minutes are only available to the candidate for making a favourable impression on the committee members. The importance of learning how to prepare for an interview becomes apparent. Interviews at mid and higher level jobs are generally more informal and structured. They may not be so much to know about candidates knowledge but to assess their suitability to fit in the company's internal culture and finalise the emoluments package. There may be more than one interview. However the techniques of giving a good interview are essentially the same irrespective of the level applied for. Pre-Interview Preparation: Having got a call for an interview for an entry level job opportunity there are certain activities  that the candidate should perform to help his preparation and increase his confidence levels. The first activity should be to brush one's knowledge about the company. These days all companies have their websites and one can visit it and get essential knowledge about the company, especially what is its line of business. Coming to know the  brief history of the company will be helpful to form an opinion about it and its background. The financial parameters like last years turn over and net profit and growth over previous year should be taken note of. If the company is multi locational and makes multi products, these can be remembered. Other information like company's vision  or mission statement can be understood. Any other information can be cursorily gone through. The second activity should be to brush up one's own knowledge about one's field of specialization especially common definitions, key terms and try and identify ones that will be fitting the company's activities. For example if it is a chemical manufacturing company and you are a chemical engineer, then questions on energy conservation, basic heat transfer equations, pollution control techniques, corrosion abatement methods can be asked. If one is a mechanical engineer then pump efficiency, maintenance of pumps and other equipment, fabrication technologies can be asked. If one is an MBA then questions on marketing techniques, financial reporting, HRD motivational methods, impact and dealing with competition and competitors, increasing or protecting market share etc can be asked. Generally the questions will be of general  basic type and depending on candidate's quality of answers in depth questions can also be asked, which is in favour of the candidate. Another important activity should be to try and simulate likely questions based on the company's activities and formulate answers. These should be practiced a few times daily if possible by  sitting in front of a mirror. This will give one confidence and a flow of words. One can moderate and modulate one's responses. The mode of going to the interview location should be decided. One should reach at least fifteen to twenty minutes before the interview time. If it is indicated that some formalities have to be performed like checking of certificates, filling of forms etc,. then accordingly one should reach that much earlier. This is important as it avoids last minute rush  and associated hassles. Reaching early enables the candidate to become familiar with the surroundings and feel some what at home. He/she can also have a  look at other candidates and strike a conversation with a few of them. It helps to lower the internal tension that builds up before an interview. The dress to be worn for the interview should be sober, clean and well ironed. These days a tie is not necessary and may invite comment especially if it is for entry level interviews. Tie is now out of fashion for interviews. Gaudy and bright colour shirts should be avoided. Shoes should be well polished as they are generally noted. One should be well groomed and properly shaved as the case may be. The portfolio of certificates and testimonials should be kept properly in a file which can e placed in one's front on the table across which interview is being taken. If these are in a brief case then the file should be taken out and briefcase should be kept on the floor by the side of the candidates chair. One should take light breakfast or light food before appearing for the interview. Foods that will give belching or are smelly should be avoided. A few minutes before one's turn a glass of water should be sipped slowly. The Interview When one's name is called the candidate should gently knock on the door and open it and ask for permission to enter. After a couple of steps he should wish either Good Morning or Good Afternoon or Good Evening as the case may be. When asked to sit he should occupy the chair and sit in an upright but relaxed manner. The candidate  should maintain eye contact while interacting with whosoever asks him questions and other interview panel members. This is a gesture of confidence and also attracts the questioner to listen to the answers attentively. initially preliminary questions are asked like what is full name, place of residence, name of college/ institute, to build a rapport and put the candidate at ease. This may take one or two minutes. The answers should be to the point with no backgrounds or explanations. Usually the senior most or Chairman will ask such questions and then request another member to ask further questions. This is generally the first question of the make or break interview as far as the candidate is concerned. When this question is asked usually the candidates over answer. That is they tell everything they know. This is a mistake which usually can land them in trouble. They go from a state of ’I know’ to ‘I don’t know’. How does this happen? This happens because the candidate by over answering has now left the follow up question to be asked from the candidates “I don’t know” domain. The interviewer is in a way  provoked to search for a new question which he himself may not have been prepared for. In entry level interviews usually, they are basically interested to know the candidates confidence, manner of speech, style of presentation, sharpness of response rather than their depth of knowledge. So when the candidate exhausts all his knowledge the interviewer wants to put him in his place and asks him a tougher follow up question or even an unrelated question which the candidate usually finds it tough to answer. In the process the candidate leaves behind a lesser impression not commensurate with his level of knowledge exhibited by him. We can illustrate by an example. Let us say the question asked is “who is your favourite actor”. The candidate replies ‘It is Shah Rukh Khan’ and then proceeds to give details of the list of movies of his he has seen, the roles he has performed and why he liked them and goes on and on. Ideally he should have just answered ‘it is Shah Rukh Khan’. Probably the next question could be ‘which is the last movie of his you have seen’ or ‘why is he your favourite actor’. To the point answers would mean the next question would be an extension and not an unrelated one. When the question is over answered the interviewer may ask a  conflict question like ‘ Don’t you think he apes Dilip Kumar’s style’ and it may put the candidate off track forcing him to come up with an unconvincing reply with his body language faltering. It is important to note that by giving short and to the point answers it is the candidate who is leading the interviewer to ask the type of questions which he can confidentially answer and leave a good impression behind. In a way it is the candidate who is controlling the interview process.  Smart candidates do not argue with the interviewers. Also it is a good policy to answer I don;t know if one genuinely does not have or is not sure of a right response. It is much better and sincere approach than trying to pull a fast one which can be seen through by the interviewers. Also one should respond and not react. Every question should be heard patiently, reflected upon and then responded properly.  In case the candidate wants to know anything about the company or the job specifications, then he can do so by first taking permission to do so. Most of the time this gesture is appreciated and also gives opportunity to the candidate to exhibit some background knowledge he has gathered about the company. Such interest shown also helps to form a good opinion about the candidate. The candidate should thank the interviewers politely at the end of the interview and calmly make exit. Post Interview Many waiting candidates waiting outside may approach for knowing the questions, trends etc of the just concluded interview. The candidate should not avoid but politely answer. It will help him to gradually wind down after the tension / excitement of his own interview. He should then leave the result to his fate and proceed with life. Conclusion These days young persons move from job to job, staying for short periods in one job. Also the recruitment process is outsourced by many companies. There are now tele interviews also increasingly taking place. Speed is the new mantra. Therefore candidates have very short time , a few minutes to make a good impression on the interviewers. Practicing facing interviews will go a long way to develop confidence to face variery of interviews and land with a right company in a right position with right type of emoluments.

The two important words If I remember right I learned saying the two wonderful words from my parents and I did not learn it in an easy way but they never tolerated bad manners. So, they made me say ‘Thank you’ and ‘Sorry’ every time I missed them and they were around. I felt bad whenever I missed them and they reminded me to do that but as soon as I learned to use these two words I knew the value of them. I began to feel the importance of these two words as the use of either of them helped me felt blessed or loved more than before.  No, I am not trying to give you a lecture on manners but only trying to tell you the difference which these two words can bring in your life. These two words can change an entire way a person feels, behaves or express his views. These two words show others how gracefully you tackle things in your life. Once I knew the value of the words, ‘Thank you and Sorry’ you begin believing in values of of life and these two words never let you feel the lack of excitement in your life.  Not limited to discipline As a child I always questioned what my elders, teachers or parents me to do and I did not understand what difference would it make if I did not say thanks if someone gave me a toy or a candy. I did not know what difference it would make if I disturbed someone and did not say a sorry to him. But, I soon learned the value of these two words by the time I was in school I do not remember the exact year but it must be in class 6th or 7th of my school days when I had started to use these two words often and without forgetting to say them.  Now, I understand why my parents insisted I must use these two words. In the later stages past my college days as a marketing professional I was able to solve some of the complicated issues with the use of these two words well and I do not regret using them even when I was not needed to use them. As an online worker I understand the value of these words more than any time before in my earlier times as the people whom we deal with are entirely strangers to each other. What I feel at this point of time that use of these two wonderful words not only keep us disciplined but help keep us organized give us an extraordinary power of communication which is part of human life. Simple words but great value While using the words ‘You are welcome’ or ‘Thank you’ or ‘Sorry’ you create a new opportunity for yourselves as it develops a sense of love in between the two the giver and taker both. It is my humble request to some of us who do not understand the value these words try them saying while you feel lost in the battle of life or find yourself alone in a crowd. Use either of these two words as per the need of time and see the difference. You will instantly see that love, obligation and supporting others have their own importance and return is instant.      I don’t say to show his gratitude one should become or act like a sycophant or use methods which come under the category of flattery and it should not sound in any way phony or improper because it will not help you in all cases but use of a simple word thanks will sound far better no matter where you use it in your email or personally. Please keep in mind that some of us believe that a person senses our feeling without our expression of gratitude is not true in all cases but we have to tell them in words and the best word for doing so is a simple thank you. We often meet people who tell you in a regretful manner that they forgot to say thank you to someone. Fine, but that simply shows your ungratefulness for the kindness shown toward you by that particular person. Once in a while is okay but if you are habitual of such a behavior then you will have to face the consequences in near future. You will be labeled as someone who does not care for others or does not have a feeling of gratitude. I think saying thanks even on small matters which will improve your image in the views of people who work with you. You can use these words with total strangers as you have nothing to lose but everything to gain. Actually you simple thanks will encourage others to help you more if he feels you are worth helping. Using the word thanks is not only to show you as a sweet mannered person but you include yourself in the list of people who share their love with you. Actually, the use of nice words helps make the society worth living a better life and every small effort counts in the process.  Accept them with love You do not expect everyone to say thanks or please while talking to you but when you hear someone say that you feel great. I always say thanks in return in my own way and welcome everyone. I accept all such gifts of thank you with a return gift as they expect us to welcome his gifts. You must have noticed that way of saying things is changing lately or becoming more Americanized so some of us say you’re welcome in return although some of us might hear mention not, don’t mention, it’s all right, sure or no worries (this one is popular in Australia) but I do not feel satisfied with these words as all these words give me a feeling of lack of acceptance to some extent. You’re welcome is all right to great extent for me as it gives a feeling of happiness which provides a chance to come out of your barriers. Say thanks and see the result People are too busy with their gadgets and chivalry is fast becoming the part of the past. People look at their laptops and mobiles more than anything and certainly not in your eyes. In other words the chances of an eye contact has become remote so saying a thanks is certainly going to make him happy that will instantly build a new relation in between you two. Trust me when you say ‘you’re welcome you really welcome him with such a magic which is hard to resist.

Why all our movies are same? I am not a critic or an avid viewer of movies who is very eager or go in details of every movie that gets released on Fridays. In fact, the paucity of ideas in film makers is one of the main reasons for my loss of interest in present day movies. Have you ever listened to directors or producers during their publicity campaigns on television shows about their incoming movies? I think most of us hear them talking big as if they have found something which was never produced ever before in Indian cinema and it will change the whole way of thinking of Indian viewers or will be immediately get selected for Oscar. But when the film is released you find it revolving round the same 5-6 routine old ideas which you have been watching right from your childhood.  And if the movie is a romantic one it even gets worse as our film makers have no new ideas but beating the same tracks. As matter of fact our film makers seriously need to come out of their present mindset. Our movies need a serious presence of something off the beaten track even in small quantities or amount that can keep the audience sit tight in their seats. If you look at the storylines of the present movies you will notice that if you reshuffle a couple of ideas from here to there every then almost every movie is same, based on same theme.  The real Tamasha Yes, I am writing all this about the latest movie TAMASHA after watching it in Delhi where we had gone primarily gone for visiting International Trade Fair but stayed overnight with a relative and finally decided to watch this movie. Let me be honest here, I took the decision for the sake of Deepika Padukone, one of my most favorite actresses in recent times. The movie Tamasha looks different in the beginning as the leading actors seem to have decided to something else than what they have been doing all the movies but in the beginning only. But they do something different only for a short duration as they came back to their normal behavior which has always irritated me. Tamasha has almost the same characters, sceneries and theme which the director of this movie known for. Watch one movie directed by Imtiyaz Ali and you won’t ever need to watch any other from him since all are almost same in their theme or treatment, even the characters of every movie seem to be doing the same what they had been doing in his previous movies. I agree the starting of the movie is bit different as I said in the beginning but every passing moment brings it back to his previous films. You may ask what was new in the beginning, let me explain in detail. The story of Tamasha begins in Corsica, the famous tourist destination in France where Ranbir and Deepika meet. Incidentally, they are Ved and Tara in this movie so I will use these names from here onward. Ved and Tara are on a vacation in France from different cities of India and what makes the beginning different is that Ved and Tara decide to stay strangers and will not talk anything on personal topics. That sounds interesting, isn’t it? They stayed in a same place but as total strangers without even asking each other’s name and a week passes by they talked nothing personal. As the seven days end Tara leaves for India without saying anything to Ved. Back to India Tara comes back to Kolkata and Ved goes to Delhi and the time flies by at its own speed. Tara had developed a soft corner for Ved during their stay in France but she did not disclosed it as per their agreement but she now felt her love for Ved and decided to go to Delhi without even any address or any other clue and as it’s possible in movies only she finds him without much of a trouble. Ved greets him nicely and they start dating but after a couple of meetings she discovers that Ved is not the same person whom she liked in Corsica but a different personality. Tara felt as if Ved has lost his liveliness, cheerfulness and the way he behaved and when he proposed her for marriage she found it tough to accept his proposal.  Tara refused the proposal but it made no difference on Ved but he went through his regular schedule. He went to his office everyday as usual and agreed with his boss on every point even if some of his talks had no meaning or spent time with friends in the evening, in short nothing changed for Ved. Nothing changed for Ved but Tara felt too bad as she did not understand why Ved was behaving that way because she was in love with him. She was unable to understand why but she absolutely finds her at a loss differentiating in between the two characters of Ved the one she met in France and the other in Delhi. She fails to find the exact reason of such a change in him and found herself confused.  Here I give credit to Imtiyaz for creating two entirely different characters of a person, one of them so happy and full of life and the other a sycophant who says yes to his boss for everything howsoever foolish or unreasonable and this keeps the story somewhat interesting. However, we have seen something similar in his older movies. For instance, the character of Ved is so similar to that of Shahid Kapoor in ‘Jab We met’ or Saif Ali Khan who gets nothing despite reaching to the top of his career. Ved character may remind you of Jordan played by Ranbir himself in ‘Rock Star’, who wanted to become a singer but his parents were eager to see he takes over the family business. However, Imtiyaz has given the role of a human robot that has no human feelings. Back with same old story Tamasha has good music composed by A.R. Rahman but even that did not succeed keeping me interested but I had to sit there for the sake of others. I don’t know how the others were tolerating watching the two characters constantly since the entire story had none else but these two center characters in the movie and one had nothing much as choice to shift their concentration. I found the movie like old theater style one where two characters take the center stage and keep talking with each other. The dramatic style of the drama days is altogether different from modern movies. I agree with the theme up to some extent but the director could have given it a different treatment. I don’t think most of the audience in the hall were expecting something like that which was far from entertaining.  As I said in the beginning I went to see Tamasha for Deepika who did her best although Ranbir was also okay but he had no choice but to act according to director but he did a good job according to his capability. Deepika’s acting was of course outstanding and looks far ahead after ‘Piku’ and she did not disappoint with her acting even in Tamasha. For me the positive side of the movie was Corsica, being a travel loving person I enjoyed watching the beautiful spots of France.  My Final views  Imtiyaz Ali could have saved this movie from turning into a real Tamasha literally having such a lovely theme in his hands where two lovers were so eagerly willing to find their real chemistry in each other and director decided to play dumb and spoiled the whole thing. Just imagine the scenario in between the two lovers where one doesn’t stop the other one despite willing to stop but what I feel the director played the role of villain for hero, heroin and audience.

Problems professionals face during initial stages of their career People feel excited at the beginning of their professional career and feel right on clod seven. They wish to achieve everything in jiffy. But, and this is one big BUT not everyone reaches at top as per his expectation. Some of the professional keep on switching jobs at a regular interval and lose their way in the process. However, there are certain reasons for switching jobs frequently and what one should do while planning to change his job.  Here is an example, X completed his mass communication diploma and joined a television channel as a trainee reporter but after working for a year or so he felt he will be better off in print media so he joined a national daily as a correspondent but he did not like his job as he was expecting something different from his job. Sometimes later he decided to join a public relations company but that did not keep him engaged either so he applied in an insurance company and joined but he found it too boring for his liking so he decided to launch his own event management company.  As expected, X could not run his own company successfully so he joined a college and started teaching. He is unemployed currently and planning his next move but he regret what he did with his previous jobs. Actually he has a reason to regret for his decisions regarding so many changes of jobs as he lost 9 crucial years in the process and a look at his CV puts him in a bad category. As far I am concerned my views on job hopping is clear that you should stick to job for at least 5-7 or maybe for 10 years or even more if you are satisfied with your job because you can change your job for better salary any time but you will be happy with your job is an altogether different proposition.  I am not in favor of frequent job hopping, as some experts associate it with building a high professional performance which allows you build a better network at a faster rate than people remain in the same jobs for longer duration. In my views rolling stones find no place to establish with a sense of satisfaction despite reaching in a better salary group but lack of job satisfaction is one of the main reasons. After changing so many jobs within such a short duration a candidate does not qualify to be put in the same category where candidates with same experience generally find themselves.  In fact X has no specialization in any field even after working for a decade which is a drawback for people like him. In fact, X is not the only candidate with such frequent job hopping experiment but there are lots of them who lose their way at the very beginning of their career and the worst that happens with such young professionals is that they lose their self confidence in the process of changing jobs frequently. If you think you can change 6 jobs in about 8-9 years and still remain in the race is beyond my imagination. But if you find your 7th job interesting and stay there for a longer duration maybe a period of 10 years. You can survive with so many change of jobs if you are in the same field but and you learned something new in your each job but I don’t believe that changing jobs so frequently would not affect your career in the long run.   The reasons of frequent job hopping There are certain reasons behind such behavior of young professionals which begins from the time they chose their line of career, under pressure some times which could be anything from financial problems of the family to pressure from family members. They join the job but they do not feel connected properly with job which they join. The result, they keep hopping the job and in the process some of them find themselves at a point of no return. If you ask me I will never suggest someone to stay someone in a job which makes things complicated but at the same time I will not support a person who jumps jobs at a regular interval. The qualification crisis One of the major reasons of job hopping is that there is no guarantee or not necessarily a person selected for a particular job has all the required qualifications in him that makes him unsuitable for that particular job and he finds himself unwanted in his workplace that leads him to avoid taking responsibilities and he thinks in terms of changing his job. Some professional change their jobs for wrong culture or the wrong work environment of their workplaces but that is a common problem and can happen anywhere. And at this point I cannot say that you should make up your mind and stick with one job. That is a different case at this point. High ambitions  Initially in their career, they change their jobs for a better position or better pay but they do it at a very rapid speed which does not allow them to stay in a company for a long time. They change at such a rapid rate that clearly affects their career and by the time they begin to think in a better way they reach to a stage when they find unable to cope with the situation and become eligible for jobs well below their skills and experience.  However it is better to be careful before changing your job for a 'senior position' at an earlier stage of your career as the position might not be what they advertise luring the skilled workers. In my own case I changed just once during first 14 years of my career. Now there is a direct question to you if you feel you find yourself in the same category, what will be your reaction if you find in a similar situation in your next company which you’re facing in your last? No good relation with your employers Certain professional find the behavior of their managers not acceptable and change their jobs but if they find similar situation in their future job they think in terms of starting their own venture. But people shift over to new job if they get a better opportunity or better pay more often if they find a bully in their current workplace.  There are multiple reasons of job hopping and the behavior of managers is one of them however the reasons like place of posting, (it was the reason I left my first job) marriage (mostly in cases of women) health related problems are some of which force a professional to change his job but money plays a major role in changing over of a professional from one job to another.  Check before you change your job As I said earlier finding one unfit for the responsibilities or not finding the job up to expectation are some other reasons for hopping over but you should know it before joining the company as it’s not a difficult task to find out everything about a company. You should know every detail before joining a company including your managers, job profile, expectations from you, and your expectations from the company. If you feel you shall not be able to cope with the company environment it is not advisable to join it as that will bring nothing but prove another addition in your CV. I would suggest one should set his proprieties and instead of looking at the pay packet, one should look at the challenges and opportunities you have to face. You should look forward to "I can do it" attitude and accomplished the project allotted to you. Whenever you get the charge of a particular project then accept as a challenge and see it as an opportunity. Your options So, you have decided to change your career but before doing so you should look at the pros and cons very carefully. Think over at every point carefully. There is no harm talking to someone who knows about such matters especially from your trusted seniors. Some experts even suggest consulting a career councilor who could help you with his professional advice.  You should look at every option including soft skills (E.Q) which is a combination of your different skills that denotes your Emotional Intelligence Quotient (E.Q) which deals with your social standard, grace, the overall personality, skill of communication, your grip on language, how you manage people at your workplace, interaction with your coworkers, your habits and leadership skills.  If you feel like a change is must it’s better to talk to your management and ask them if they can find something else for you in your present company. This will help you in multiple ways, one you will have one lesser company in your CV, new experience of a new job within your present company and of course you will feel different or maybe that’s what you were always looking for. But make sure you must not give up to any pressure but take a decision on your own or taking into confidence your seniors.  Some professionals give extra weightage to others’ opinion thinking about their reactions if you changed your career and failed. If you feel that others will laugh at your failure or your image will take a dip I feel you are not focused at your career but thinking about different points which are not related to your career. In short you are not focused at your career but everything else. Maybe you are suffering from feeling of insecurity and looking for the change for better job security. Finally, you should test your skills for a particular field which you are planning to join in future. Checkout your abilities with a proper aptitude test whether you deserve to be in a particular filed otherwise you will soon feel disappointed. You have business degree does not mean you qualify to be in marketing field but maybe you will do better in human resources or you will be able to adjust in the work environment. Think carefully before changing your job or career because it is most important for you.

Mishapppenings We all face failures and mishappenings in our life and all these are part of human life which we cannot avoid even if we try our best. It only means that some things have wrongly happened which were not desired but human minds are so designed that they add two and two together and make four. In other words we make things complicated by intensifying the problems adding together. Psychiatrists would describe about such a human behavior in terms of clustering disillusion, the people suffering from this problem generally make things more complicated than what they really are otherwise normal people take such problems normally and solve them easily.  Failures and mishappenings We all have our quota of problems and when we face them like we will never overcome them and if we face multiple problems at the same time the situation becomes worse. Some of us might lose our self confidence too. But let us not forget that when it rains hard it takes away everything sweeping everything with it. There is an old saying that says sometimes, we don’t get what we want but this is a well meaning and kindly world where we may face them all at least once in a while and we can't simply avoid them. That simply means joy and sorrow are part of our life or they take their turn, one by one or sometime together, everything comes back to normal unless the sorrows do not take the center stage.  People suffering with clustering disillusion feel they are the only ones who are suffering from problems but the fact there is not a single person in this world who is not going through some or the other problems but all are not taking them so seriously.  For example, it’s common that people lose their job suddenly especially in private sector and they do not have enough savings for such a rainy season.  Now, people with strong mind set will try to cope with the situation until they find another job. But in case of people suffering from disillusion they do not take them normally but start adding up problems together which make things even complicated. And in most cases all those incidents which bother people suffering from clustering disillusion do not have any connection with each other. In fact, there are people who are busy worrying about their future problems but are unable to solve their current ones.      In other words how we tackle problems depend upon our own mindset or it is directly related to our brains power of tackling the complications. For example, if you are used to climb the stairs in a routine you will not feel any problem while you climb them but if you have done something which have caused you stressed leg muscles (an exercise perhaps) you will feel difficulty in climbing up the stairs because you are suffering from a bigger stress so you will face problems even with very small further stress. But the fact is your brain sees the group of marbles first and individual marbles later.  Now, try to watch the marbles separately one by one, individually and you will find that it’s not a difficult task. Incidentally this is the same process which makes you a better player of scrabble.  I suggest you to go for a small experiment. Fill up a bag with an equal number of different colored marbles and then suddenly pour them in a glass bowl. You will see a pattern of designs and colors but not a group of marbles at the first glance. Same process is applicable on our method of thinking and solving the problems. The problems keep coming and the process will go on but we have to find a way to solve them with a proper mindset.  How to solve our complicated problems?  Now the question arises how we can solve the problems. We shall have to find a way step by step- 1- First of all, we have to maintain our composure, the very the state or feeling of being calm and in control of oneself as there is no alternative of composure to face problems of life. Look at the problems with a neutral mind set and not attaching them with your personal feelings. If you are in serious situation facing complicated problems note them down on a paper as the experts believe that once you write down your problems you feel better. 2- You might find yourself at a point where things would look impossible but never leave the positivity of your mindset the things will improve for sure. You will be surprised to note that there is a very thin line in between success and failure the need is to look at them with positive point of view.  3- When you find yourself struggling with your problems for a longer duration you begin to believe that there are some particular reasons or persons who are the cause of your problems but you have to choose the right path for getting out of the situation without thinking in terms of giving up the struggle midway.   4- There is no doubt about the fact that we cannot transport ourselves in the past to learn something but we have to learn it now even if we could have done it earlier. Same is true about our insults and failures which we had to face earlier, now we can do best is reduce their effect only and not start our life all over again. 5- You must understand the fact that there is no short cut for a successful life so you will have to undergo all the trouble that takes to be a successful man, there is no other way. 6- Take all your decisions based on their merits and not to please others. You should understand the fact that we do not have to please everyone on our way to success. Also, it’s not possible that all others like us too so do what you feel are best for you the rest will happen on own course as per the situation. 7- Life is not a competition so take your own time for reaching to a proper decision. Maybe you are finding something tough today is not at all tough or not that tough which you cannot handle without much problem. The persons you think are doing better than you today but with little bit of efforts you may find yourself ahead of them.  8- Stay with positive minded people who provide a proper inspiration and guidance to you. 9- When you accept yourself with all your minus and plus points but keep watching at your positive points which will help improve your mental and satisfaction level. Conclusion Your life is entirely your personal venture which you have to live on your own way so while it’s fine to respect others’ view points but you must write your own success story. It’s easy to go with the flow but you always face problem trying to go against the flow and that’s the reason we chose the easier ways or follow others and complain about not achieving what we always wanted to do. Let’s face the realities of life as we can reach nowhere if keep comparing ourselves with others. Stop thinking in terms that you do so much about others but they do nothing for you as this mentality will take you to nowhere.
