@Maverick You must have noted that in my post I laid greater emphasis on "able management" of spamming as Lopmudra was alluding to.If we are able to put in an effective mechanism in this regard the rest would fall in right places. There would be no need to differentiate as old and new which is apparently unfair.Going by my experiences here I find new members are less guilty of spamming excepting a few. In fact the site has lately seen the entry of a few new members who are responsible, knowledgeable and restrained, making laudable contributions and I don't want to expose them to any unfair dispensation.

I am frankly not comfortable with too many choking controls for forum. Ideally a kind of self-control and a free and informal air should prevail and pervade in every part of it.Only understanding the problem of spamming and its able management would go a long in making the forum a great place to be, not thoughts of putting undesirable shackles on members. I propose to keep forum activities outside the ambit of contests and competitions. For me a sincere 'like' or a warm 'thank you' is quite a reward

That's because you are hale and healthy. If one is hale and healthy and happy with their lives and laughing as part of their lives, such nightmares may not take place. I too do not dream nightmares . If fallen asleep, i sleep a sound sleep without dreams. What to speak of nightmares.

I have tons of problems on my mind but I have not experienced any nightmare ever apart from an occasional dream of falling while sleeping And the sudden falling sensation wakes me up which sometimes looks so real even after woken up.

Maverick wrote: New members tend to post spam/unnecessary posts, hence the difference.   No necessarily admin, some of the new members are doing better than older members and we should give them equal chance, besides the rule of deletion of the posts applies to everyone, which should be enough to keep a control. I would still go for two new threads rule for everyone as long as the threads are worthwhile. Same goes for thread posts. It's ridiculous to see 25 posts coming from one member out of 50 and all of them saying the same thing or saying/agreeing to what the post above has said

I hope admin will look at the suggestions posted by different members. How about separate rules for new and senior members? - 2 topics for new and max 5 for senior members per day- 2 replies per topic per day for new, 10 replies per topic per day for others,- 10 replies overall per day for new, 50 replies per day overall for others Let me know your suggestions.     The difference seems a bit too much, especially the number of replies. This way the new members stand almost no chance in the race of points and to make it to the top. In my opinion there should be less difference so that even the new members can score. Even to make it to the top of the leaderboard would seem impossible unless the leaderboard system is abolished as suggested earlier.

According to Freud, the reason why we dream is a 'daytime residue' that spills over into the night. When you are going through something that you can't deal with, when your defences are not adequate enough to deal with the trauma in consciousness, that is when your subconscious mind tries to play it out. This is mentioned in the article link. For exmple people who commit wrong things will be haunted by such nightmares.

It happened in POK. Chairman of the Anjuman Minhaj-e-Rasool, Moulana Syed Athar Hussain Dehlavi, who recently toured PoK said that people residing in the region want to be a part of India. However I believe there should be some way to stop flood of unnecessary/meaningless replies at least for few people who does it.

Yes, I read it too. There were protests about rights of Hindus in Pakistan. After partition many Hindus who stayed back in Pakistan have faced a lot of humiliation. I have also heard that they are referred to as ' Na Pak' in Pakistan. No wonder, they feel much at ease when in India.

There are various theories regarding why they happen. Some believe it is what plays in your mind subconsciously. We encounter many things in a day, some are unpleasant which lead to various worries, anxiety, fear and other negative emotions. The cumulative effect is nightmare. It is further affected when someone is unwell and not in a happy state of mind. One the other hand pleasant experiences and happy thoughts lead to dreams. If one is relaxed ,tension free and healthy nightmares are rare.

Lopamudra said thank you to Shampa Sadhya for his/her reply to the topic What Did Mahatma Gandhi Like to Eat?.
@Lopamudra No problem. I have never expected anyone to support my viewpoint but with that I don't expect anyone to criticise my thought on a forum. We may not have same opinion but it's better not to counter even if it was an indirect one. Here, I would like to clear one point that I am game for every discussion either positive or negative if I have some point to make but it has to be in a decent way. I have not denied Gandhiji's contribution so I can also talk about Dandi March but I am not blind towards other aspects so I can talk about it too and it's a personal choice. Being adults I think we should not oppose people just because our opinion does not match. Let us both be happy with our own way of looking at any aspect.
