The link says Gautam the foreign minister blamed the government of India, . Further he said that all border check posts along Indian border have closed down and the Indian government has fully supported the blockade. In this scenario as you said India should exercise utmost caution and tact.

What should be age for drinking?  shold this be sixteen, eighteen or twenty one or even more. A Delhi minister wants to fix this at 21 although one may ge employed even at eighteen. I was employed at 19 years and posted at field station where drinking was norm. It is okay to restrict drinking but this should not be age related. Parents and guardians are responsible for discipling the child. When child grows up and is employed, let him decide what is good for him. https://in.news.yahoo.com/delhi-ministers-remark-lowering-drinking-age-sparks-row-153802542.html

A Hindu is very much part of Hindu community and has to followHindu traditions and law relating to marriagem death, inheritanceof property and so on. Similarly Muslims and Christians.  Spirituality differs. This is a relation between individual and God (acording to his belief). Meditation and worship in isolation indicate this. I never worship or even meditate. Recently, one friend of mine told that he goes to Vaishno Devi only for fun/ picnic. Actually worship is possible only in isolation.

It is best to respect sovereignty of Nepal. They were Hindu nation. This was the choice of king as soverign head. Times have changed and people have given unto them a secularconstitution. This is not palatable to many.  Nepal is our very close neighbor and we have age old ties with them. It is necessary to safeguard our interests also. But wer have to be very careful and be tactful. Otherwise other countries nay gain advantage.  http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-will-establish-link-with-china-through-road-if-blockade-doesn-t-end-nepal-2129049

Solitude provides all that tranquility that ideally suits those who pray. Solitude also contributes to concentration.

Communicating tools brought a revolutionary change in the human lives. With these tools at the disposal of those parents who are pained by the separation of their children, make their life easy and do not feel loneliness.

Gulshan Kumar Ajmani wrote: Separation from children at some stage is unavoidable but also painful.  After some time, parents get accustomed to the change. Moreover, these days separation is not so painful in view of communication facilities.  i too agree with you, now a days communication facilities make a little comfort for the children who have gone to abroad or far from their houses. These communication facilities like phone call, online video call, online chatting through internet etc make the parents a little relief from their worrying about their child.

There was a time when we prided ourselves for being a liberal society. Today there seems to be a race to turn India into an illiberal society. It is shameful and frightening that intellectuals are being hounded and killed. What is difference between our country and say Bangladesh ? It is also frightening to see well off people support such activities.

A good part of my day is allocated for TV watching. I leave all those channels which have political lenience and other vested interests. In this regard I prefer BBC, Asia version.

Yes I have watched Reign, I guess the next season is going to be aired early next year, it is good although not as complex and exciting as Game of Thrones , but definitely better than watching any of our serials ..

Media used to be completely controlled by the politicians or at least the party that was in power until the nineties when things changed for the better and now of course what we see is a mix of both - some very aggressive media personnel who try to be fair as fair can be , in the bargain  drowning all voices , some fence sitters and some openly leaning towards a particular political party ! However, things are better than what they were two decades ago!We come to know most of what is happening around us within minutes .

By the way there are many good English serials now like Mad men, Home land and House of cards and they are all extremely well made ! I have watched most of episodes of Homeland and liked it too. It is quite realistic and in keeping with the today's geopolitical conflicts in the world. I also like to watch Reign, it is loosely based on Queen Mary of Scots and Henry's reign in medieval England. I think it is a bit similar to Game of Thrones and is good to watch too, with some real characters and real references to history woven in the plot.
