Who knows Gulshan sir may excel in his new found hobby. Presently, this is not my hobby. Hence impossible. May be I develop this hobby some time and then impossible may become possible.  Exactly sir. The Japanese runner has started running at the age of 100 or so and made seemingly impossible things Possible. Age is not a bar for learning. Yours conversation is very interesting and funny, carry on it.

Attitude of most of politicians for public money is same. They said before election that we are servant of public but after election they all behave like master. There are some exception of it. I read book about former CM of Kerla Omman Chenddior OC. He is very simple person. Ooman Chandy is an exception. As the CM of Kerala he has no airs.   He leads a simple life. Yes I read enough about him. Our others leaders should be read this book. and learn how some one can serve public. Do you think our political leaders learn good from good people ? Most of our politicians are shameless creatures. By becoming a follower of Oomen Chandy they don't want to earn a handful of ashes, They want to earn Millions and keep them in Swiss banks by illegal means. Yes if some one suggest them to read this book and behave like Omman Chendi. they declare the person mad and sent them to mental hospitals. Once here one local leader said that I did not join politics to be a saint. It means they join politics to be devil. I appreciate that local leader. At least, he made his intentions clear. Oomen Chandy is one in million politicians. We cannot expect such politicians everyday and everywhere. Yes I am agree, some leader may be like Oomen Chandy, but we don't know about them. Ex C.M. Of Rajasthan Mr. Ashok Gahlot also very simple person. One our local MLA, who died in 1990,Prof, kedar Nath was very simple person. Any one who want to meet him can get any where any time. We may find him in front row of local wrestling competition.

Arnab Goswamy would be debating on his 'Chilla Chilli Channel' and Swamy would threaten a law suite depending on the runners religion. But hats off to the Japanese for his feat. LOL,,, that was funny ! But it is what one can expect here ...We are a doubting nation , not without reason though !

VW is no doubt the best and also the biggest car maker in the world.  But VW admitted cheating on emissions tests in the US. Switzerland already temporarily banned the sale of VW Diesel engine models http://www.bbc.com/news/business-34365794

Kalyani Nandurkar wrote: vijay wrote: @Kalyani A petty politician once became the Chairman of my PSU company. The first thing he did was to renovate his office in his city at my company's cost running into a few lakhs. His company provided car had its radial tires changed every three or four months, when such tires are rated to run for nearly fifty thousand plus kms.(Where did the tires go?)  His children used to go in the car on two hour drives one way to eat ice cream in a big city. He forced the company to depute him and his wife on a foreign tour naturally at company expense for a fortnight or more. WE all saw this happening but could not or would not do anything. All we did and am still doing is keep cribbing. He enjoyed his posting. I liked your suggestion of declaring cribbing as a national pastime. We see the same types everywhere in government and bureaucratic positions, of course there are few exceptions but most of them join the game quickly once they start getting these extra perks. A family friend was working in the Indian embassy of Japan and was in charge of cultural portfolio. Without exception, ALL the visiting Indian dignitaries and their entourage used to behave in such a weird manner, such as  demanding extra attention, shopping expensive items and gifts at the cost of the embassy, making the staff of the embassy run to and fro for petty things etc. without thinking of the image they created of themselves and their country on foreign soil. So I think this particular habit has infiltrated Indian genes so instead of making them change, we should declare cribbing as national sport and make the best of the situation. I guess thats all we can do because as citizens of this country there is very little we can do since in many ways we are powerless ! If you happen to see just an ordinary SP and his power-play one will understand how it works . It is disgusting to see the politicians being unaccountable and getting away with almost anything ! It is only now that there is some fear of the media expose but even there I am sure they do play one against the other and get them to report what they want ..Here in the south many of the popular channels are owned by the politicians !

vijay wrote: @Usha writes that a mistake has been made. This is not true. It was done deliberately to attain a higher mileage because meeting pollution norms would divert part power for absorbing pollutants in catalytic chambers and cause fall in mileage. It was misuse of technology and software was turned into malware. Germans  are very good at engineering and their automobiles are very good but when they want they can also cheat like other nationalities. The company will be fined very heavily and usually no one gets punished. Already the German CEO has resigned and has got a severance pay of $32 million plus further millions are in pipeline as retirement benefits. It is not at all a mistake! I agree it was a deliberate mistake by someone but I guess one is  not sure who all are involved and whether the German govt is aware at all..However, they have taken the moral responsibility for the deed and of course the costs are heavy , may even increase after all the investigations are conducted . It will no doubt dent their reputation , but with all that , no denying the fact they are one of the best in the world...

Shampa Sadhya wrote: @usha manohar In my previous comment I have used the word 'harsh' which I sometimes apply on my son. Here, harsh means just refusing to do his work which I know he can do it easily if he tries a bit and secondly he has got enough time to do so but it's not that I force him to become independent. Sometimes I make him understand nicely but when he becomes stubborn or simply starts nagging me then I need to become strict and being strict is always a bit harsh but obviously not too harsh. There are times when I get very strict then my son too understands that he must have committed some great mistake.  I absolutely second your thought that if I have a right intention while bringing up my child then there is no need to follow others' advice. I do discuss about my son with my sisters but basically I follow my instinct in nurturing him because with time everything varies. It's different when mothers act selfishly but when a mother knows that she is selfless then it's her choice how to bring up her child but yes too much of love or too much of strictness will definitely spoil the child.  Shampa we are afterall human and have only limited patience at our disposal especially while bringing up kids, dealing with household chores etc etc...One can easily lose temper and boys can really drive you crazy at times. It would happen with me and with three kids with very little age gap between them and all bundle of energy and mischief ,was enough to drive me crazy twenty times a day LOL...One thing I promised myself was that I would never use physical punishment, no spanking ever and I stuck by it ! I agree that only parents know their kids well and no matter how much others may advise you, at the end of the day, it is only you that should be taking decisions as to what is right for your child.

Yes, as long as they do not force me to follow their self-made rules. I prefer to follow my religion according to my own rule book.

Rgionalism In Mari Kom's case is not related to just to present. She was subjected to regionalism right from the day one of her career. Now, she is not hankering for any new or upcoming events.

I was at Delhi airport to see off my daughter and her 4 years old son who was under the impression that I will travel with them. I said I will bring my passport but he thought I can use his passport and if police caught me for traveling without a passport his papa will hit the police and rescue Nanu. I am guilty of using my mobile while driving back to home for the first time because I had to answer him repeatedly that I will join him soon (my wife was not with me).  Just tell me how can one avoid such situations?

Having trust on one's self itself says that you are spiritual. There is nothing in the name. Call your spirituality by any name. It serves your purpose.
